Violeta Chouciño - The 5 tortillas my grandma gave birth to

By performing and revisiting “the 5 tortillas my grandma gave birth to”, the original recipes in its original language, we will be decontextualizing and recontextualizing my own family’s recipes of ‘spanish omelette’. The goal is to play with the elements that recreate certain ambiances (senses, language records…), the act of interpretation that is recreating a recipe, and the social, political and identity layers of borrowing other people’s heritages.
