Liaison Talks with Amir and Aliyyah Fay

Liaison Music with Alliyyah Fay and Amir (Prncjdg) will host the upcoming radio show at Bosbar and Wav Radio. The conversation will revolve around the mission and work of Liaison Music — a platform and rehearsal space supporting queer migrant musicians in Belgium, helping newcomers find their artistic path in a new environment.

For the second part of the show, we’ll be joined by Brussels-Ghent-based mezzo-soprano Ano Matchavari who performs in a classical duo with Liaison’s pianist Mano Svanidze. Together, we’ll explore the opera and classical music world through her lens — as a woman, newcomer , and an artist navigating a rigid and often exclusive industry. We’ll discuss gender dynamics, the pressures and stereotypes in opera casting, ageism, and the realities of working with orchestras. How human and inclusive is the world of opera today — and what still needs to change?
