Dominique Grimaud speelt zaterdag 2 oktober in de concertzaal
A low-lying master of the French experimental underground, Dominique Grimaud has been active since at least the 70s as part of the improvisational outfit Camizole, the electro-dadaist concept duo Vidéo-Aventures, and countless other sonic adventures that he happily chronicles and recounts through his writing and ongoing musical endeavors. His 2020 19 Feedbacks LP on Discrepant synthesizes familiar pop tunes, electroacoustic jangle and dusty loops to create new/old sounds of a deeply personal order. He will be accompanied by his long-standing musical partner Véronique Vilhet on drums for some augmented heft to the feedbackisms.
Als laaggelegen meester van de Franse experimentele ondergrond is Dominique Grimaud actief sinds mindestens de jaren 70. Als deel van de improvisatiepruik Camizole, het elektro-dadaistische conceptduo Vidéo-Aventures of als hoofdrol in de andere ontelbare sonische avonturen die waarop hij grijnzend terugblikt in zijn schrijfsels of nog lopende muzikale ondernemingen. De in 2020 op Discrepant verschenen LP 19 Feedbacks synthetiseert vertrouwde popdeuntjes, elektroakoestische tjingeltjangel en stoffige loops om tot een nieuw/oud persoonlijk geluid te komen. Zijn muzikale partner Véronique Vilhet vergezelt hem op drums om wat meer gewicht aan de feedback te hangen.
