JUNG AN TAGEN (at)
Stefan Juster a.k.a. JAT is thoroughly positioning himself as a distinctive new voice in the current electronic music scene. Consistently building on his sound so far, situated somewhere between avant-garde and techno. Complex polyrhythms meet sound surfaces polished to a high sheen, with tracks giving rise to playful sonic illusions. At Delta~Wave Jung An Tagen will be presenting his audio-visual solo show in collaboration with Jeong-Ho Park and Scott Sinclair that visualises data from particle collisions in the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. By means of abstract, geometric figures and complementary stroboscopic effects, these high-resolution images work together with the music to conjure up a virtually hallucinogenic quality.
GÜNTER SCHLIENZ (de)
a quiet handed modular scientist, building his own instruments to create quality cosmic sounds. But we will not spill the beans about the technical details and the specific process it took to cook up this high octane ambient music. All we are allowed to share is that it's all about Reel-To-Reel, Echos, Delay and Modular Synthesizers - but the exact recipe is locked up in a secret basement workshop-laboratory located somewhere unknown in Stuttgart.
Antoine, from distant France but living in Brussels. In 2017, the Antwerp label Jj Funhouse released the genius "Serafine" and the Ghent label Kerm his cassette album "L'étang Des Songes". Two completely different but oh so beautiful releases that show Accou's diversity. In serene style Accou blends elements of crystal ambience electronics, rhythm box muffle and digital metallic clang into auditive mind trips.
MICHAEL MØRKHOLT (dk)
Michael lives and works in Copenhagen, He is part of Anden Enhed and the big band Den Nørrejyske Øs Stororkester For Opløst Mønstermusik. His solo live sets may include synthesized sounds, digital drawbar organs and light bulbs working together to make a hightly immersive experience
JONATHAN SACHSE MIKKELSEN (dk)
With an interest in technology and sensory experience Jonathan Sachse creates environments and extensive installations. At Het Bos he will present a short version of a piece developed for Amsterdam art space W139 last year. In it, pulsating remote controlled animations lighten up the room, alongside roaring brass synthesizer vibrations - a bleached sun algorhythm, luminating sound waves washing ashore an imaginary beach. Once in a while, Jonathan is half of the table electronics duo Laser Poodle.
Lieven Stockx from Antwerp, runs the OEI label and makes some extremely realistic bird sounds with modular synths in the '30 Minutes of .. 'project. His solo music as Mist is more melody orientated though still abstract in nature.
JEAN-MARIE MERCIMEK (fr)
Ronan Riou & Marion Molle from Marseille. This duo revisits french lo-fi synth pop in a fairytale-like way, utilizing their collection of rare automatic casio keyboards, frequency modulation chanson and tape collages towards a multilayered comic book journey in form of a concert. As if there was an animated wax brush painted cartoon version of Elli & Jacno.
LA FUREUR DE VOUIVRE (fr)
Flute combo from the forests of France which recently made the Accons S'amuse Bien festival in the Ardèche unsafe. The duo of field ethnologist Pauline Marx and instrument inventor Julien Groboz swirls up a whirlwind of hypnotic rhythms, head-spinning melodies and snake charmer mayhem. Making use of different herbs as reeds for their handmade flutes, the two sculpt a dazzling weave of nature and technology evoking both ancient cultures and endless nights in Jajouka. First show in Belgium!
You might know Sagat aka Wiet Lengeler from Bepotel, the project/label he started with &apos (d~w 2017) and Walrus, all sharing Brussels as their home. Lengeler channels the complex city habitat into rhythmic compositions, machine made abstract techno with at times energetic garage house syncopation and wild pitch dubbed out passages. Sagat releases his morphing sonic textures on BXL and Vlek.
