New edition of RITES OF NOISE 💫🌺
An evening of blooming & edgy sounds
Curated by Tomas Serrien and Casper de Geus
Live acts:
NAH - noise drums
Mike Kuun (aka NAH) is a producer, percussionist, and visual artist currently splitting his time between Philadelphia and Antwerp. A staple of Philly’s rich avant-garde scene, MK is a prolific sound sculptor who’s developed a dynamic synthesis of textured noise and confronting percussive rhythms. Performing live with little more than a drum kit, various samplers and drum sensor technology, he channels a frenetic energy that teeters on the edge of violent hostility and playful chaos.

Kaijin Kaiwa - impro ambient
Kaijin Kaiwa consists of Nicolas Rombouts (SPOOK, Studio Caporal) and Sjoerd Bruil (Millionaire, Dez Mona, Mauro). On bass and electric guitar, the duo performs an unexpected mixture of drone, noise and guitar riffs. Their first album, Master of Universe, came out in 2024 and consists of live improvisations in the studio that have been meticulously edited and enriched with extra sounds. Kaijin Kaiwa, which means nothing other than a ‘conversation between two mythic monsters’, certainly seems to be the perfect name for this adventurous duo.
