Souvenirs From imaginary Cities Label night w/ Rudi J & Public Sound Soundsystem
Gratis in de Bosbar
Souvenirs From Imaginary Cities proudly presents the release show for the debut album by Rudi J, the latest sonic incarnation of Brussels bass veteran Michael Crabbé.
On this new record, Rudi J honours dub revolutionary spirit, deconstructs reggae and adds a nineties flavoured take on library music, Rudi comes equipped with that typically sluggish Belgian midtempo swagger, paying tribute to never-ending nights and daily surrealism. A hot summer fever dream balancing wonder and darkness, built equally for deep listening and sound system pleasure.
For this special occasion, Rudi J will bring his own Public Sound Soundsystem to Het Bos, allowing these bass-heavy constructions to be heard exactly as intended: loud, warm and immersive.
Joining the night are Sopa do Dia, the collaborative project of Joke Leonare and Luís Pedro, whose open-minded selections move freely between genres and moods, and Hill Men (Souvenirs From Imaginary Cities Travellers), guiding the evening further with carefully curated records.
An evening of bass culture, dub mutations, concrete flowers and deep-zone wanderings.
